Estimate from a Certified Appraiser
At Investown, we cooperate with the Group Independent external appraiserswho prepare estimates of the value of real estate for our clients. We have a confidentiality agreement with appraisers, we record their certificate, insurance and resume to be sure that they have adequate experience. The client chooses his appraiser himself from the list that we send him.
Our appraisers are certified and very experienced. Each of them is a member Czech Chamber of Estate Appraisers. And they all follow Standards of the Czech Banking Association (ČBA). Thus, their estimates for Investown's needs have the same weight as if they were forming them for banks.

Estimate subject to supervision
Once we have an estimate available from an independent appraiser, we pass it on to the supervision. At Investown, we work closely with several supervisors. Our clients do not have contact with a specific supervisor, it is an independent institution that will give us further opinion and help us to better determine the value of the mortgaged property.
Based on the estimate of the value of the property, we then determine how high the loan we can provide to the client and thus how high the LTV will be - that is, the ratio of the loan to the value of the property. If, in the opinion of the supervisor, the valued property is overvalued, then there will be a decrease in the value estimate.
